One also support the millions (if not billions) of Federal Tax income, and trickle down taxation incolme, be cut from the First Nations federal social support payments and benefits. So we can stand behind the First Nations refusal for these developments, and stand just as firmly behind the equal transfer of Federal Payments to their communities. Maybe he should be a penguin instead, argued Aisha Harris, the Slate writer. Kelly's reaction? Nope.

"By the way, for all you kids watching at home, Santa just is white but this person is just arguing that maybe we should also have a black Santa," Kelly said, before briefly pausing to acknowledge that she can sort of kind of understand how that might be painful for a black child. But only kind of sort of. "Just because it makes you feel uncomfortable doesn't mean it has to change," she added.

But she didn't stop there. She went on to address Jesus' race. You know, the Semitic fellow allegedly born in the Middle East 2000 years ago.

"Jesus was a white man, too," Kelly said. "He was a historical figure. That's a verifiable fact — as is Santa. I just want the kids watching to know that. My point is, how do you just revise it in the middle of the legacy of the story and change Santa from white to black?"

But let's back up a second. Jesus' whiteness is a "verifiable fact" as is... Santa's? The fictional character parents lie to their children about every year? Hmm.

MARITIMECBASShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00834059597189801614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6166857565524883362.post-9919655447675041272013-12-12T10:52:05.015-04:002013-12-12T10:52:05.015-04:00The man accused of faking sign interpretation next...The man accused of faking sign interpretation next to world leaders at Nelson Mandela’s memorial told a local newspaper that he was hallucinating and hearing voices. http://bo.st/1aXMMWH

this seems legit lolMARITIMECBASShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00834059597189801614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6166857565524883362.post-44734981227137202062013-12-11T20:41:00.602-04:002013-12-11T20:41:00.602-04:00Sounds like they need to find that superintendent ...Sounds like they need to find that superintendent more to do, and make him feel more important!MARITIMECBASShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00834059597189801614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6166857565524883362.post-35446146253629646042013-12-11T20:38:31.410-04:002013-12-11T20:38:31.410-04:00http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/11/living/6-year-old-su...http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/11/living/6-year-old-suspended-kissing-girl/index.htmlMARITIMECBASShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00834059597189801614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6166857565524883362.post-70063286432429883282013-12-11T20:36:39.748-04:002013-12-11T20:36:39.748-04:00www.cnn.com/2013/12/11/living/6-year-old-suspended...www.cnn.com/2013/12/11/living/6-year-old-suspended-kissing-girl/...
6- year- old suspended for kissing a girl on the hand, CNN affiliate KRDO reports; KRDO: Superintendent says behavior fits description of sexual harassmentMARITIMECBASShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00834059597189801614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6166857565524883362.post-87092745495699667302013-12-11T15:33:02.958-04:002013-12-11T15:33:02.958-04:00As per your request, he has been added to Idiot of...As per your request, he has been added to Idiot of the month - ThanksDa Moderatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09901694131078120563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6166857565524883362.post-29974160714614458772013-12-11T14:54:44.576-04:002013-12-11T14:54:44.576-04:00watch out for the Internet Police!!

With the entire crew fast asleep, unaware of the impending doom. Sad to see I must say. The hoopla on ADHD seems to have waned some as of late, so PTSD is the new excuse to be handed out for poor decision making and offering up excuses. For the last decade, when little Johnny pulled Sally's pigtails, he was immediately diagnosed with ADHD, to the point that near ever child is considered with this disorder. I am not questioning for a second that some children (and adults) do legitimately suffer from this affliction. The difficulty I have is that this condition and being tagged with it offers an excuse for minor to extreme negative behaviours. Regardless of having this, it indeed offers no excuse, simply means that being a contributing law abiding citizen takes a little more effort. It does NOT excuse them from the law, or accepted behaviours.
NOW seems that every grown person that commits a crime, or negativity affects society is excused and even provided empathy because they have PTSD. You cannot watch the news as of late without a crime or similar, having the guilty party suffering from PTSD. Maybe they do, or maybe it is just a defence for their actions - I really don't care, we all, regardless of our afflictions are responsible to abide by the laws and behave respectfully. So now that Kids have a reason for ill behaviour, and a exponentially growing number of adults are excused because they have PTSD - guess the few of us left are at the mercy of the law as we have no excuse.
Example: Not long ago, some numb nuts complained because (being fully physically fit) parked in a disable parking space.. when confronted by a passer by, as he walked briskly to a bank, telling our friend that he should not be parked in a disabled parking space, justified this abuse of the system by saying that he had PTSD and is allowed to park there because he is disabled. My thought, he is disabled allright, just with having a pea brain - nothing else.Da Moderatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09901694131078120563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6166857565524883362.post-37635312128754184282013-12-02T15:12:34.987-04:002013-12-02T15:12:34.987-04:00I concur, that prohibiting weapons is a reasonable...I concur, that prohibiting weapons is a reasonable and legal responsibility in areas that there is a potential threat to the populous (air planes, schools etc) - but banning turbans on the soccer field - that is a racist issue, I don't expect Hitler woke in the morning thinking that he was a monster and mass murderer, he truly believed that the quebec (ahem, I mean arian) race was superior, and needed to be protected, and that other cultures were threats to him. So, now we have a Quebec supported government, working to protect their culture, but eliminating the English language (or penalty by law), protecting their borders from outside trade unions and workers, and now prohibiting religious attire. I would think that we may have raised an eyebrow yeras ago with their militant protetecion of their language (basically banning any other), but that was ignored by the rest of our federation.. so bit by bit, this "culture" protection is becoming much more extreme. I wonder at what point the Federal Government will step in and stop this. Maybe when the leaders of the province say that one cant wear something personal about their religion - WAIT, guess we are there, and this is ok to do as a province. So no, I don't think the Quebec government wakes in the morning thinking they are racist - they are blindly, without consequences trying to protect their Arian (ahem, sorry French) culture.Da Moderatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09901694131078120563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6166857565524883362.post-74837031517589687542013-12-02T14:48:45.113-04:002013-12-02T14:48:45.113-04:00Tough call. It can really only be fair one of two...Tough call. It can really only be fair one of two ways; everybody can have it or nobody can have it. Quebec, as usual, have chosen the exact wrong answer. Theoretically, anyone could claim that exactly what they wear is religious -- which doesn't bother me so long as it doesn't break the law. It gets a little more muddled when, say, Sheikhs are allowed to carry knives (which, religious or not, are weapons,) and are protected in doing so -- I believe even in airports. I think the whole idea of the government even addressing religious garb is ridiculous. How is there a separate category for religious clothing? How about as long as you conform to the public dress code (ie. wearing clothes that cover your stuff) you can wear whatever you want. I don't think there's any ill will or racism behind this legislation, I think it's just supreme incompetence and child-like problem solving.GregEsauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02681198668893581730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6166857565524883362.post-68778701144588450162013-12-02T14:18:22.523-04:002013-12-02T14:18:22.523-04:00Far too often we compare questionable social event...Far too often we compare questionable social events to Nazi Germany, and often times these references are ridiculous and overstated. However, I think the Quebec Charter to prohibit wearing of Religious symbols is a subtle beginning of ethnic cleansing, and we as Canadians are watching it happen before our eyes. It is already becoming more than a public sector policy. Recent news article where 2 daycare workers wearing their Burka were harassed and children removed from the daycare. These were NOT public employees, and are not part of the charter, but it is an extension that bigots can use as a crutch - ie: if the government can outlaw religion, then the citizens can harass other citizens.. AND the Federal Government is doing nothing.. NOTHING. Hitler outlawed Jews.. and it is clear that if the world had seen his ultimate plan early they would have intervened. So how can Canada or the world for that fact sit back and watch the outlaw of religious attire and symbols. The thin edge of the wedge. All "covered up" by the bullshit Quebec government that they are trying to retain their culture - how? by eliminating the visuals of other cultures.. this is all sounding quite familiar from my history classes.Da Moderatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09901694131078120563noreply@blogger.com
